OLSS = Profits
- The process of converting to ozone was easy and hassle free, we saved $782.00 in natural gas costs the first month, and since natural gas costs keep rising our savings are approaching over $1,100 per month.

- Lowering labor costs was a focus and goal of our company. Not only were we capable of reducing our labor expense by $900.00 per month, we were also able to shut off a hot water heater that was inefficient and in turn saved an additional $700.00 per month.

- By installing the Ozone Laundry Support System from NuTek International Inc., we were impressed by the quality of the results, but the fact we were processing all of our linen in cold water was even more amazing. Our bottom line savings per year is $11,877.00.

 August 28, 2007 Dear Nutek
As you are well aware the challenges facing today’s hotel owner/operator are numerous and taking the time to evaluate the needs of your laundry seems to be very low on the list of our priorities. With that in mind we were fascinated by the prospect of actually lowering our operating costs and thereby increasing our bottom line profits.
Like many other limited-service hotels, we saw our laundry department reaching its capacity in being able to turn-around the daily washed linens especially on full nights. It was obvious to us that when our two prominent limited service hotel brands began implementing more extensive and significantly heavier bedding and towel programs our laundry departments would be overwhelmed. While the impact was positive for our guests the challenges that this placed on our facilities were never adequately communicated by the respective hotel flags and the impact that “Triple-sheeting” or daily-washed duvets would have on laundry rooms were not measured until after their roll-out.
Prior to the implementation of the brands’ new linen programs, we installed the ozone systems at our properties. The results were obvious—faster wash cycles, faster dry cycles, less detergents, less wear and tear on the linens, fewer laundry attendant hours, and less wear on our laundry equipment. We never saw the pilling and wear that other franchise owners complained about on decorative top sheets which ultimately resulted in having all those sheets removed and replaced. We don’t experience the problems that current hotel owners have where laundry attendants are forced to over-fill washers and dryers so that they can get laundry done within normal hours. The result meant that our laundry room operational costs (including utilities) have stayed fairly constant despite the additional quantity and weight of the new brand linen programs.
Some choices in business are hard to reconcile because it is hard to quantify the savings. The NuTek Ozone Laundry System was not. We see the results and we see the savings. This is a choice we recommend to anyone looking to improve both productivity and results with a justifiable capital investment.
Sincerely yours,
Anoop Patel, Owner
